Family Fitness

Family fitness opportunities are available at two Children’s Aid Society sites.
Sunday Sports
The Dunlevy Milbank Center's Sunday Sports program provides more than 60 children and youth ages 8-17 with age-appropriate fitness classes, sports instruction and nutrition education.
Sunday Sports helps children and families improve their overall health through regular fitness activities. Youth develop self-confidence and leadership skills in a safe space while parents support and encourage the community’s young athletes.
Intergenerational Aerobics Program
The Intergenerational Aerobics Program at Frederick Douglass Center is founded on the principle that fitness is something that a family can work on together.
During 90-minute sessions, a male and female instructor lead adults and youth in warm-up, full-body aerobics, cool down and abdominal exercises. Instructors also engage parents, grandparents and children in discussions about skeletal and muscular health and proper nutrition.
Classes take place Monday and Wednesday evenings from October through June.
