Real Food, Brought to You by Bronx Youth

Next Generation Caterers was founded in 2008 at The Children’s Aid Society’s Next Generation Center, a one-stop center that provides support, training and opportunities to Bronx youth, 14-24, as they transition to adulthood and self-sufficiency--with a special focus on youth in foster care and those aging out of foster care.

Next Generation Caterers specializes in healthful, innovative cuisine made from fresh and seasonal ingredients.

Next Generation Caterers specializes in healthful, innovative cuisine made from fresh and seasonal ingredients. Youth employed at NGC lead every aspect of the business, from creating menus, to preparing and serving food, to managing finances and marketing. In the process, they learn valuable entrepreneurship, leadership and life skills.

Next Generation Center also offers our young chefs, and the many young people who come through its doors each day, a full range of supportive services, including job readiness & job development services, educational guidance & tutoring, legal advocacy, housing assistance, technology instruction, creative and visual arts programs, and cooking & nutrition instruction.

All proceeds from our enterprise go right back into the Next Generation Caterers training program.
