History and Programs

P.S. 152, the Dyckman Valley School, opened in 1927 and the partnership with the Children’s Aid Society started in 1998.  

Children's Aid services and programs include:  After School, Saturday, Holiday and Summer; Medical, Dental (through linking the school to other Children’s Aid area school clinics --Mental Health is provided by another partner); Early Childhood Education; Preventive Services; Emergency Relief through the New York Times Neediest Fund; Parent, Family and Community  Engagement  and Development opportunities (such as Family Resource Room, Vocational and Educational trainings, Adult Education, Advocacy and  Leadership opportunities).
