Last spring, we announced the sale of the property that comprises the Philip Coltoff Center in order to better serve our mission of helping New York City’s neediest children. We were able to guarantee the continuation of most of our programs through June 2012 in order to make the transition for families as smooth as possible.
Now the time has arrived for us to depart the Greenwich Village community and the center that has meant so much to all of us for so many years. Since PCC opened its doors 120 years ago, the neighborhood has changed dramatically for the better. By shifting our resources, we hope to affect similar change in other areas of New York City that still struggle to provide children with the opportunity to succeed and thrive.
We have tried to be thoughtful about the impact our absence will have on our current students. We want to make sure that you are aware of the programs that will be continuing in other locations:
