Children’s Aid is thrilled that you are interested in becoming a Direct Service Volunteer with our agency. Your energy, expertise, and enthusiasm enhance programs like tutoring, homework help, clerical assistance, or workshop participation. As the name suggests, Direct Service Volunteers work directly with our children on a regular or semi-regular basis. We can make all efforts to accommodate your volunteering objectives at any of our more than 50 sites in Harlem, northern Staten Island, the South Bronx, and Washington Heights.  As a Direct Service Volunteer, you will have a tangible impact on the lives of children and families in need, and will work closely with Children’s Aid staff at your designated program site.

Direct Service Volunteers are required to register as a Children’s Aid volunteer—for details about this process, please visit the Volunteers Procedures.
