The Children’s Aid Society Associates Council (AC) is a dedicated group of young professionals whose mission is “to develop champions that will convey the mission of the organization through both their words and deeds.”
Who We Are
Members of the AC come from a variety of fields including media, finance, education, human resources and social work. They combine their individual talents to provide a vibrant and diverse resource to The Children’s Aid Society. Throughout its history, Associates Council members have spearheaded and engaged in numerous initiatives, projects and special events that have embodied the spirit of the agency and made a difference in the lives of hundreds of children and families.
What We Do
Currently, the Associates Council is focusing its efforts on an exciting calendar of fundraising events and critical initiatives. Their purpose is to cultivate public support towards the mission of the organization and raise money for its vital programs and services. The AC members expand both their professional and personal networks through their collaboration with each other and inclusion in many Children’s Aid Society special events.
The Associates Council meets collectively once a month in the evening. Workgroups communicate regularly via phone and email and are encouraged to meet face-to-face several times during the planning and completion of a project.
