Overview
The Children’s Aid Society could not do its great work without the help of its dedicated volunteers. Children’s Aid offers a variety of rewarding volunteer opportunities ranging from one time projects to ongoing commitments throughout the school year. These volunteer experiences include:
- Direct Service—working directly with our children and families
- Corporate Volunteer Projects
- The Associates Council
- One Time Events
One of the primary functions of Volunteer Services is to support our sites throughout the city by connecting them to different types of resources — most importantly, to our volunteers. Volunteer opportunities are based upon the needs of our sites so they typically include tutoring, mentoring, homework help, clerical assistance, sponsored beautification projects, holiday events, and opportunities that require a special skill set such as creative design or teaching artists.
