Classes and Programs

Nursery School - Philip Coltoff Center at Greenwich Village

With a long tradition of serving the needs of New York?s families and children, The Children's Aid Society is proud to offer a fully licensed Nursery program, based upon the highest standards of developmentally appropriate practice established by the NAEYC. We accept children ages 2-5 years old.

Day Care at Milbank

The Dunlevy Milbank Day Care Center serves children from the community as well as families living in the Pelham Fritz apartments.

Intel Computer Clubhouse

The Children's Aid Society has played a significant role in helping to "bridge the digital divide" for children and parents who are members of our East Harlem Center; Frederick Douglass Center, home to our Intel Computer Clubhouse; and Dunlevy Milbank Center, all in Harlem.

Family Group

Family group is a support/rap group for members. Participants choose the topics of discussion. Past topics have included: how to deal with family issues, dating, making it on your own, and sex and sexuality.

Visualife

In partnership with the School of Visual Arts (SVA), the Next Generation Center offers Visualife, an introductory digital photography workshop.

MySpace Mania

MySpace Mania leverages teens' enthusiasm and dedication to MySpace by using the website, and the internet in general, to teach technology, writing and graphic arts skills.

Culinary Arts

Culinary Arts introduces participants to basic cooking and food preparation techniques as well as nutrition and nutritious eating.

The Family Program at Drew Hamilton

The Family Program at Drew Hamilton consists of three components:

  • Fathers in Action Fatherhood Initiative
  • Parent Workshops
  • Center Parent Committee
