Jones Day Lawyers Take On Fundraising Challenge

This summer, Jones Day, a global law firm with 32 locations around the world, asked its summer associates to plan a fundraising event that would be both fun for their coworkers and a financial success for its beneficiary, The Children’s Aid Society.
The timeline was tight, but the summer associates knew that in this era of declining corporate philanthropic contributions, their efforts were more important than ever. With that in mind, they decided that a basic fundraiser would not be enough to achieve their financial goals. They got creative, dreamed big and hosted a masquerade party and auction at The Villa in Murray Hill on July 21.
The committee members’ hard work paid off, raising $13,426 for The Children’s Aid Society. This sizable contribution ensures that the children we serve will continue to benefit from our programming and services.
Children’s Aid thanks Jones Day's 2009 Summer Associates and all the employees who made this event possible.
If you would like to select The Children’s Aid Society as the beneficiary of your office event, please contact Patty Landry, Manager of Annual Giving, at plandry@childrensaidsociety.org.
