Annual Report 2013
For 160 years, The Children’s Aid Society’s enduring mission has been to serve New York City children in need. In the early days, we helped find caring homes for orphaned children living on the streets of Lower Manhattan. Over the years, our programs have broadened and our footprint has grown with the changing geography of poverty in New York City and the changing needs of families and communities.
While we continually seek ways to be where the need is greatest and our impact can be deepest, our focus remains the same. We provide children with comprehensive programs to ensure their health and wellness, promote their social-emotional development, maintain healthy home and family lives, and support their educational needs.
