March 30, 2013 marks the tenth anniversary of the NYC Smoke-Free Air Act that ensured no New Yorkers would be forced to breathe toxic, secondhand smoke in the workplace, regardless of whether they work in a high-rise office or neighborhood restaurant or bar.

March 27th Celebration & Awards Ceremony

The NYC Coalition for a Smoke-Free City along with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, American Heart Association, American Lung Association of the Northeast, Campaign for a Tobacco-Free Kids and Public Health Solutions are hosting a celebratory event on March 27, 2013 to mark the anniversary of this landmark legislation and honor the Mayor, City Council, and other champions of public health who persevered to make this policy happen. As we are celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Smoke-Free Air Act, we also recognize our work is far from over.
