About Stephen Michael Rondel
Graduated from Western Washington University with a B.A. in Acting, Directing & The School of Education. As founder and creator of The New Acting Company, he has been teaching adult classes for twelve years. Stephen was a Theater instructor, Theater Education Program Assistant and Advertising Manager for The Northwest Children’s Theater and School, in Portland, Oregon (1994-1998). He was also an Acting and Program Instructor for Adventures in Science and Art, Western Washington University.
He has directed 100 + productions for children, teens and adults and produced five professional Off - Off Broadway shows in New York. Off- Off Broadway acting includes: The Tragic and Horrible Life of the Singing Nun (NY Musical Theater Festival, Wild Card Performance Award-Talkin’ Broadway), Sideways Stories from Wayside School, The Jungle Book, Once Upon a Mattress, Wild Thing, Lead Heavy Sky, Circus Inferno, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Pyramus and Thysbe and Lion in the Streets. Regional Acting: Incorruptible (Artist Repertory Theater), Waiting on Sean Flynn, The Secret Garden, The Bacchae, Cloud Nine, Largo Desolato, And They Dance Real Slow in Jackson, Vinegar Tom, The Sound of Music, Anything Goes, The Fantastics And To Kill A Mockingbird.
