Volunteers have always been a vital ongoing resource at The Children’s Aid Society. We are committed to developing and maintaining creative, successful, volunteer programs that enhance our mission, open doors for our youth, and provide a rewarding expereince for the volunteers we serve.
The Children's Aid Society offers the general public several ways to donate their time to help our children and families. Our volunteer opportunities include:

POVERTY IN NYC: Teens in Crisis - A Panel Discussion
On Tuesday, October 7th, The Social Issues & Advocacy Committee invites you to join us for a moderated discussion on how the increasing poverty rate is affecting teens living in New York City. Whether you are a parent, educator, professional, or just a concerned citizen, this can be your first step towards making a diffence in the life of a young person.
AC Happy Hour - "Oktoberfest"
The Associates Council is kicking off their 2008-2009 season by hosting their next Happy Hour, "Oktoberfest" on Thursday, October 2nd, 2008. This month, we will be checking out Common Ground Bar & Restaurant in the East Village.

The Associates Council (AC) of The Children's Aid Society (CAS) was founded in 1985 to serve as a “junior board” to help cultivate and prepare dedicated and caring professionals and volunteers to become future leaders and goodwill ambassadors interested in serving the best interest of New York City’s children and families.

1st Annual Back-to-School 3-on-3 Youth Basketball Tournament
On September 27th, we present the 1st Annual Children's Aid Society Back-to-School 3-on-3 Youth Basketball Tournament to raise money for the 2008 Saturday Outings and Sports Management programs. We invite you to come out and show your support by sponsoring a youth team or player, as they compete in this special sports attraction to crown the first-ever Back-to-School champions.
