Toy Drive Party Celebrates Spirit of Giving During Holiday Season
On a cold Saturday night in mid-December, close to 250 people packed two floors of a midtown club to do their part in making the holiday season extra special for hundreds of local children and teens.
The Eleventh Annual Toy Drive Party, continued an established Associates Council tradition of “partying with a purpose” by asking guest to donate twenty dollars, a new toy or gift card that were immediately distributed to Children's Aid youth for the holidays.
Hosted at Mantra 986, the evening was filled with smiles, laughter, and dancing and included such notable highlights as an “All-Night Triple-Chance Raffle” that offered guests three opportunities to win a host of prizes from such notable retailers as Grey Goose, Brooks Brothers, New Jersey Nets, Total Tennis, and Avon. “America’s Favorite DJ”– DJ Diamond also took a break from touring with artists such as Prince and Beyonce to provide one-of-a-kind music and entertainment for the party.
Thanks to the generous contributions and support of our guests and sponsors, over $10,000 in donations and toys were collected. It was an awesome night that captured the true meaning of the “giving season”.
