Visualife
In partnership with the School of Visual Arts (SVA), the Next Generation Center offers Visualife, an introductory digital photography workshop.
Taught by SVA graduate photography students, Visualife introduces participants to the art and language of digital photography through a series of weekly written assignments, presentations, peer review exercises, individual instruction and hands-on classroom activities.
Participants learn how to use a digital camera. They also learn about photography techniques and artistic vision.
Participants are encouraged to investigate their personal lives and experiences through different photographic forms—portraiture, landscape and social documentary.
As a final project, participants design their own bound photo book.
Visualife is offered on Tuesdays from 4-7 p.m.
Instructors: Matt Baum & Tom Holton.
