The New York Knicks and the Garden of Dreams Foundation will tip off the New Year by hosting a Week of Giving for Tri-State area children in need. The Week of Giving will include food deliveries to three area agencies and will culminate with a party for more than 300 children and families from Garden of Dreams community organizations The Children’s Aid Society, Loisaida and Harlem Dowling at Madison Square Garden.

During the months of November and December, Knicks fans were encouraged to donate food and non-perishable items to the Knicks, Garden of Dreams and City Harvest food drives at MSG. The collected foods will be hand-delivered and a dinner will be hosted by Knicks players beginning on Monday, Jan. 8 at The Children’s Aid Society’s Dunlevy Milbank Center in Harlem. The events will continue on Tuesday, Jan. 9 at Loisaida, Inc. and Thursday, Jan. 11 at Harlem Dowling. The week will conclude on Friday, Jan. 12 when the Knicks will host a party for more than 300 children from these agencies and invite them to attend that night’s game versus the Charlotte Bobcats.
