NEW YORK – Retailer CALYPSO Christiane Celle has created special finger puppets to benefit The Children’s Aid Society, a New York-based children and family services nonprofit that assists over 150,000 children and families a year.
The five finger puppets – a monkey, elephant, lion, bunny, and donkey, all sold separately – make wonderful gifts for children or the young at heart. The finger puppets retail for $5.00 each and fifty percent of each sale will benefit The Children’s Aid Society. They are available at nine CALYPSO Christiane Celle stores in New York City (935 Madison Avenue, 815 Madison Avenue, 280 Mott Street, 426 Broome Street, 407 Broome Street, 199 Lafayette Street, 191 Lafayette Street, 654 Hudson Street and 137 West Broadway) and additional locations in East Hampton, Southampton, Sag Harbor, Los Angeles, Brentwood, Dallas, Bal Harbour and Palm Beach.
“It’s a true win/win situation. These lovable creatures will bring smiles to the faces of children big and small and the money raised will help support a broad spectrum of vital programming,” says C. Warren Moses, CEO of The Children’s Aid Society.
CALYPSO Christiane Celle is a loyal supporter of The Children’s Aid Society. CALYPSO’s Madison Avenue locations participated in Miracle on Madison Avenue on Sunday, December 3, 2006. Miracle on Madison Avenue is an annual premier charity shopping event benefiting The Children’s Aid Society’s health care programs. Over 100 restaurants, galleries and retailers donated 20% of the day’s sales to Children’s Aid.
CALYPSO Christiane Celle, a high end Fashion, Beauty and Home Accessories retailer, recently opened a five floor concept store at 815 Madison Avenue, as well as a CALYPSO Christiane Celle Kids Home at 407 Broome Street. To be available under one roof - the must have essentials for baby and children: small furniture, baby gear, clothing, toys and more! Additional information at www.calypso-celle.com.
The Children’s Aid Society was founded in 1853. It is one of the nation’s largest and most innovative non-sectarian agencies, serving more than 150,000 of New York’s neediest children and their families with a network of services that includes community schools, neighborhood centers, camps, adoption and foster care services, teen pregnancy prevention, education, health and recreation.
