Tamara Tunie of Law & Order: SVU joined Head Start children and parents at The Children’s Aid Society’s East Harlem Center on November 26 to paint a special mural for its upcoming Miracle on Madison Avenue event.

Actress Tamara Tunie expresses her creativity in mural painting
On Sunday, December 2, the one-of-a-kind mural will be displayed outside the Kids’ Tent during Miracle on Madison Avenue, a charity shopping event. Tamara Tunie will be on hand at noon for the event’s opening ceremony.
Ms. Tunie and the parents painted branches of the “Miracle Tree” mural. The branches will feature donors’ names and holiday messages and will help raise funds for The Children's Aid Society.
During Miracle on Madison Avenue (www.childrensaidsociety.org/news/Miracle_2007_general_release), from noon to 5:00 pm, approximately 100 retailers on Madison Avenue will donate 20% of the day’s sales to Children’s Aid’s health services for underserved children in New York City.
After painting the mural, Tamara Tunie visited Calypso Christiane Celle to choose an outfit for her appearance at Miracle. Calypso Christiane Celle, a Miracle on Madison Avenue participating retailer and strong supporter of The Children's Aid Society, generously offered to dress Ms. Tunie for the occasion.
