Children's Aid's East Harlem Boys and Girls Club Gets Visit from Olympic Skater

OLYMPIC SILVER MEDALIST AND U.S. NATIONAL CHAMPION SASHA COHEN TO HONOR LOCAL GIRL
New York, NY– Olympic Silver medalist and U.S. Women’s National Skating Champion Sasha Cohen will be making a special appearance at the Children's Aid Society - East Harlem Boys & Girls Club in Manhattan. The skating legend, who is currently on tour with Emmy Award Winning Smucker’s Stars on Ice will be visiting the Boys & Girls Club to recognize the humanitarian efforts of one of their members, Danielle Caban, a 10-year old from East Harlem. Sasha will also make a book donation to help support the education and literacy initiatives that the East Harlem Boys and Girls Club happily provides. A portion of ticket sales from the Stars on Ice Tour will also go to help support those initiatives as well.

Children's Aid Society - East Harlem Boys & Girls Club gets special visit from Olympic Figure Skater to recognize the humanitarian efforts of one of their members, donate books courtesy of Smucker’s, and interact with the kids. Winner, Danielle Caban, a 10-year old from East Harlem will also be available for interviews.

Presentation is at 4 p.m. where Sasha Cohen will be available for interviews and photo opportunities. The winner of the essay contest will be announced at approximately 4:20 p.m. All media please arrive between 3:45 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
