Children’s Aid Society Receives 13th Consecutive 4-Star Rating from Charity Navigator
Charity is First in History to Receive 13 Four-Star Ratings
NEW YORK, September 6, 2013 – For a record-breaking 13th consecutive year, The Children’s Aid Society has received a four-star rating from Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest independent charity evaluator, which published its latest ratings this week.
Children’s Aid Society is the only organization in Charity Navigator history to receive 13 consecutive four-star ratings.
“We commit ourselves and our resources to serving children and families in poverty, and we are grateful for this distinction,” said Children’s Aid President and CEO Richard R. Buery, Jr. “In a crowded marketplace, we know such evaluations can help donors make sound decisions about their philanthropy.”
According to the evaluator’s web site, Children’s Aid Society tops the list of ten organizations that “have earned the most consecutive 4-star ratings demonstrating an ongoing fiscal excellence. [They] are well-positioned to pursue and achieve long-term change.”
