Miracle on Madison Avenue 2010
The 24th annual Miracle on Madison Avenue presented by The Bank of New York Mellon was held on Sunday, December 5, 2010 and drew crowds of festive shoppers to the avenue. Over 100 participating Madison Avenue establishments generously contributed 20% of the day’s sales to The Children’s Aid Society’s health care programs.
The shopping kicked off at noon with an opening ceremony that featured The Children's Aid Society Chorus and some very special guests. Event Chair Tamara Tunie of Law & Order: SVU, attending Miracle for the fifth year in a row, joined New York City Comptroller John C. Liu, Robert Kelly, CEO of The Bank of New York Mellon, Richard Buery, CEO of Children’s Aid and Matt Bauer, head of the Madison Avenue BID for the ribbon cutting.
Not only did everyone have a wonderful time at Miracle on Madison Avenue, but most importantly, vital funds were raised for health care for children served by Children’s Aid.
