After successfully bringing Youthmarkets to a Children's Aid Society community school in East Harlem, Children's Aid launched its first Youthmarket in the South Bronx on July 16, 2008.

On June 19, 2008, Con Ed’s auditorium was packed with excited high school and college students and their families, all gathered for Children’s Aid’s annual E.X.C.E.L. college scholarships and awards ceremony.

In October 2007, students from a Children’s Aid Society community school in the Bronx joined Bette Midler, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and other VIPs for the launch of the Million Trees NYC initiative.

On the morning of May 6, 2008, a standing-room-only crowd gathered to celebrate the formal opening of The Children's Aid Society's new Next Generation Center in the South Bronx.

On Monday, May 12, 2008 The Children's Aid Society's Dunlevy Milbank Center Boys & Girls Club hosted Xbox 360 and supermodel Christie Brinkley for National Family Fitness Day.

Coco Rocha, a budding supermodel with Elite Model Management, and her Irish dance group, Eire Born, visited The Children's Aid Society's Mirabal Sisters Campus and East Harlem Center on October 19 and 20, 2007.

Pride, the concluding performance for 2007 Children’s Aid Society/AileyCamp Washington Heights included poetry readings and theatrical improvisation.

On February 28, 2007, children and teens from the East Harlem Center performed in the Harlem Renaissance Extravaganza, which featured a look at "Harlem, Then and Now."

On June 14, 2007 approximately two dozen elementary school students and parents who took classes on nutrition and healthy cooking shared the fun and delicious eating tips at a youth green market at their school in East Harlem.
