Per Scholas Computer Giveaway
In celebration of Women’s History Month, mothers and their middle-school daughters spent a day in March gaining computer smarts and then the free refurbished computers and software to put their learning to great use. On March 14th twenty-six mother/daughter teams participated at Children’s Aid’s Frederick Douglass Center's Intel Computer Clubhouse in Harlem, and on March 21, forty mothers and daughters in the Bronx took part in the workshop at Children’s Aid’s Fannie Lou Hamer Freedom High School. Each mother/daughter team received day-long training and a free computer courtesy of Per Scholas’ Comp2Kids initiative.
