A New Green Market Grows in East Harlem

On June 14, 2007 approximately two dozen elementary school students and parents who took classes on nutrition and healthy cooking shared the fun and delicious eating tips at a youth green market at their school in East Harlem. For three months, students and parents learned about nutrition through the preparation and sampling of healthy foods. Parents and students also offered cooking demonstrations, nutrition advice and recipes that families can try at home.
