Lights On Afterschool at P.S. 152

Students, parents and staff at The Children’s Aid Society Community School P.S. 152 were joined by elected officials for the 10th Annual Lights On Afterschool, a national event organized by the Afterschool Alliance to highlight the need for and importance of afterschool programs.

New York State Assemblymember Adriano Espaillat and local community board member Manny De Los Santos met with the officers of the P.S. 152 Youth Leadership Council to discuss the importance of high-quality afterschool activities to families in Washington Heights and across the country.

Afterwards, approximately 200 children, grades K through 5, marched around the school to inform their community of the importance of afterschool programs.
