Frederick Douglass Center Celebrates 50 Years!
On June 20th and 21st, 2008 The Children's Aid Society’s Frederick Douglass Center on Columbus Avenue and 104th Street welcomed friends old and new for a joyous celebration of the center’s 50th anniversary.
On Friday evening, guests sampled delicious food, danced and reminisced. A special ceremony featured a proclamation from the New York State Assembly honoring the center, its staff and all of the children and families that have participated in programs over the years. The next day, many of the same alumni returned for more fun and memories at a barbecue.
