Financial Literacy for Kids
The Children’s Aid Society recently launched a partnership with Minyanville Publishing and Multimedia, a leading financial media company, to spread a message of financial literacy to children. Minyanville’s virtual community and game site, Minyanland.com, is helping children across the nation by teaching them the importance of earning, saving, spending and giving through fun, interactive games and activities. The Children’s Aid Society continues to give children tools and resources, so they can gain knowledge that will be useful for a lifetime. The photos below show 8 to 10-year-old participants at Children’s Aid’s Frederick Douglass Center as they learn and have fun on the Minyanland website.
While it’s important that children learn money management at an early age, it’s equally important that adults who are financially savvy understand the financial benefits of philanthropy. Children’s Aid CEO, C.Warren Moses, has joined Minyanville’s talented list of contributors with his bi-weekly Business of Giving column. In each column, Mr. Moses will share his insights on the non-profit world with Minyanville readers. Read Mr. Moses’ most recent Business of Giving column.
