Youth Development

Programs include peer education, job and career readiness, violence prevention, leadership, diversity, and victim assistance training.
Additionally, youth can participate in numerous service projects that will give them the community service hours that high schools require for graduation.
Keystone Club enables young people to demonstrate leadership and build character through community service and fundraising. Each year, students attend the Boys & Girls Clubs Keystone Conference.
Retreats for youth are offered twice a year. They are held at Wagon Road Camp in Chappaqua, NY. Retreats offers a foretaste of what HOPE offers. Attendees go through some intitial training, facilitation, agenda setting, paraphrasing others' words, active listening skills and education on avoiding victimization and stigmatizing of victimized persons.
Germany Exploration Progam
Each summer, through the generous support of the Atlantik-Bruecke Foundation, 16 students are taken on a 2-week trip to Germany where they live in a castle, meet the Crown Prince of Prussia, and serve as ambassadors for America and The Children's Aid Society. Students are selected through an intensive application process, and are given orientation and training before going on the trip.
