William Osborn Day Camp
William Osborn Day Camp at Goodhue Center on Staten Island is a co-ed summer camp for children who have finished Kindergarten to those entering 8th grade. Programs are creative and nurturing and have a lasting influence. Counselors provide the care, attention and love that promotes healthy growth and social development.
The beautiful 42-acre site offers:
- Large outdoor pool and sprinklers
- Woodlands and trails
- Baseball and soccer fields
- Two outdoor basketball courts
- Pond for fishing and boating
- Golf range
- Learning center for computers and science discovery
Each day children have the opportunity to play and engage in activities within their group, or select individual activities in their areas of interest.
Program highlights include:
- Arts and crafts
- Drawing and painting
- TV and radio production
- Nature study and science
- Sports and swim instruction
- Boating and fishing
- Computers, robotics and animation
- Cookouts, trips, carnivals and talent shows
Osborn also has a special Senior Camp for boys and girls in grades 5-7 who may have more clearly-defined interests than the younger campers. Senior Campers continue to participate in a variety of activities while focusing their attention in one of our specialty programs:
- Girls' Sports Concentration
- Boys' Sports Concentration
- Co-Ed Arts Concentration
- Co-Ed Theater Concentration
- Co-Ed Science and Technology
In addition, our unique C.I.T. (counselor-in-training) program helps teens ages 13-15 develop valuable leadership skills. (To be eligible, a teen must have completed 8th grade). A summer at Osborn helps campers learn to succeed and build long-lasting friendships.
Transportation is provided throughout Staten Island and from Manhattan. Manhattan pickup occurs at:

Registration for William Osborn Day Camp begins in March and is ongoing. Parents should call the Center in March to reserve a spot for their child. An interview is required to complete registration. Open House events, including a campus tour, take place from March through May.
Flexible weeks are available throughout the summer months. Please call for exact dates.
