Go!Healthy Parents is a six-week wellness program that introduces parents to a holistic approach to health, including movement, stress reduction and healthful cooking. Our aim is to raise parents’ consciousness and skills so they can create healthy home environments that will benefit the whole family.
Classes are taught in both English and Spanish. Each two-hour workshop includes simple techniques that promote relaxation and movement, such as breathing exercises, dance and yoga.
Participants also engage in hands-on cooking, learn the basics of healthy eating and get practical tips for creating simple, nourishing meals on a budget. The series includes a trip to the supermarket to help parents navigate the confusing aisles and make the best choices. Through these workshops, we aim to help parents spearhead a movement that celebrates wellness in addition to delicious and nutritious foods.
