The Frederick Douglass Center Tweens program provides arts and education activities specifically designed for the transitional period between childhood and the teen years. In addition to the after-school offerings, the Tweens program also provides drama and dance, participation in the Children's Aid Chorus and mentoring through Project LIVE. The objective is to help reduce the risk of school drop-out, truancy, substance abuse, violence and gang affiliation.
