Every day our employees do work that creates impact for the children that we serve. They collaborate across a variety of domains including social- emotional, educational, family and home, and health to deliver high-quality services along a child’s developmental stages to ensure that our children are healthy, safe, and thriving and well on their way to the path to and through college. Below are just a few stories from some of our employees on why they work at Children’s Aid and why they find their work rewarding..

Program Director, Comprehensive Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention - Health & Wellness Division

I love working at The Children's Aid Society because of the enormous amount of resources available within one agency for youth and their families, especially in the high need areas. I can see and feel that staff are extremely dedicated; which adds to how much of an amazing place this truly is to build your career while doing amazing work.

Research Manager

I look forward to coming to work each day knowing that I can make a difference in the lives of others. Not only do I contribute to the meaningful work of CAS, but I am lucky to do so with enthusiastic coworkers who find new and creative ways to get the job done well. Every day is a true collaboration.

Family Functional Therapy Supervisor

I enjoy my job because I have the opportunity to lead and be part of an amazing team of dedicated, skilled therapists who give their all and epitomize the CAS core values. In addition, I am always humbled by the unique strengths of the families we work with despite the hardships they may face. The ability to cultivate these strengths within families is a privilege.

Social Work Coordinator, Domestic Violence and Child Welfare Initiative Family Wellness Program

CAS has created a desirable work environment by providing a verity of learning opportunities and experiences; all while being challenged, supported and encouraged to excel in my professional and educational goals. I love the people that I work with, we are like a family.

Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Case Manager – Health and Wellness Division

CAS has afforded me the opportunity to care for medically fragile children within the foster care system and the community, which has always been the biggest reward to me. Each day I work alongside a team of caring and dedicated colleagues to serve our population. By being able to treat these children in both a clinic and home setting, it has given me a much broader understanding of my patients’ medical needs and what I can do for their overall quality of life.

Field Supervisor – OASAS

There is an inner satisfaction knowing that I am a part of an organization that appreciates my creativity, innovation and professional development. CAS has provided me with the support and opportunities needed to complete my Master’s degree while working. We are committed to quality and a standard of excellence for their employees and the families they serve.

Associate Director, Programs and Operations - Adolescence Division

CAS provides a long term commitment to working with teens and their families. Our evidence based programs provide a holistic approach and are designed to create a healthy environment where young people can identify their gifts and talents and begin the progress towards healthy growth and development. At CAS, genuinely caring for and engaging our children is our principle currency.

Life Coach - College Prep Charter School

I enjoy working for CAS because of the talented leaders that have supported my growth and career aspirations over the past 8 years. CAS not only cares about service to those in need, but also takes initiative to ensure that an employee’s personal needs are met. I'm proud of CAS's rich history and genuine commitment to working with the most under-privileged families in New York City.

Policy and Advocacy Associate

At CAS, I have the opportunity to be a voice for those who are most vulnerable and advocate on issues and priorities that most affect our children and families. While I do not provide direct services, I feel a genuine connection to all the families we serve. I have been able to grow professionally from an intern into the advocate I am today with support to continue my educational career as well.

Deputy Director- Early Childhood Division

CAS exists because of people committed to justice for all. Each day, I’m lucky enough to learn from parents, staff and students about how to love and live in the world that they make for each other. Even when times are tough, everyone is committed to finding a way out of ‘no’ way.
