After-School Program at East Harlem

The Children’s Aid Society East Harlem Center After-School Program provides children ages 5-11 with a diverse range of activities and services focused on their social, academic, physical, emotional and cognitive development. The program is a safe haven for many children. We use a holistic approach to address the deficits experienced by children and families while building upon their strengths.

After-School Services

  • Socialization groups
  • Homework help group
  • Computer instruction-technology playground
  • Newsletter/media arts
  • Dance, drama and chorus
  • Arts and crafts
  • Health, nutrition and cooking
  • Martial arts
  • Sports and recreation
  • Nutritious meal or snack served daily

Hours of Operation:
Monday – Friday 3-6 p.m.

Requirements for Admission:

  1. Children must be between the ages 5 and 11.
  2. Completed After-School and OST Applications.
  3. Current physical examination.
