The Children’s Aid Society Head Start programs provide center-based and early childhood experiences with the same multidisciplinary approach as Early Head Start.
In Head Start, children ages 3-5 are engaged in developmentally appropriate experiences that stimulate the growth of the child.
Family services are provided through social service staff on site at each of the programs.
Head Start programs at Children's Aid operate at East Harlem Center, Frederick Douglass Center, PS.152, P.S. 5, P.S. 8, Taft Day Care Center, Drew Hamilton Learning Center, and P.S. 50 Vito Marcantonio in Manhattan; Bronx Early Childhood Center and C.S. 211 in the Bronx; Richmond Early Childhood Center in Staten Island.
