The Children’s Aid Society (CAS) – Carrera Program is an evidenced-based, primary adolescent pregnancy prevention program implementing replications in New York City and in other geographies across the county. The CAS-Carrera program has been designated as a “Top Tier” evidenced based program by The Coalition for Evidence-Based Policy and is a recipient of the Social Innovation Fund. CAS-Carrera has opened a National Accreditation and Training Center (NATC) in Durham, NC and is seeking a Program Assistant to support the administrative needs of this office.

CAS-Carrera is seeking to hire a full time Program Assistant. Reporting to the Sr. Assistant Director for National Implementation and Quality Assurance, this staff person will provide support for the national program operations and will assist in the coordination and implementation of national and regional training initiatives.


• Provide administrative support to the Sr. Assistant Director; assist with the management of the daily calendar and priorities
• Responsible for screening calls; logistical support for meetings and trainings including material preparation, travel coordination, and catering coordination. Will prepare meeting agendas, reports and correspondence as directed
• Responsible for managing and tracking invoices for consultants and vendors providing services to the NATC
• Responsible for ensuring timely entries and reconciliation of employee time and attendance on the agency’s time management system (TimeForce)
• Generate data assessments for pre- and post- test materials generated from program sites
• Provide support for Quality Assurance activities related to performance metrics captured in quarterly audits and in the CAS-Carrera IT system (CMIS)
• Assist in developing and maintaining a training calendar for national and regional trainings and conferences, and professional development workshops
• Develop and maintain relevant resources and materials for regional and national dissemination; maintain a database of agency contacts for the circulation of relevant material
• Create and manage meeting registrations through “constant contacts” and/or other database information


• A Bachelor’s degree is required
• Strong communication (oral and written), detail oriented, highly organized and the ability to multitask
• Proficient in technology/software applications including PowerPoint and Excel
