Children’s Aid Society is currently seeking a Foster Care Supervisor who will be trained in a new evidenced-based and evidenced-informed model of foster care called ChildSuccessNYC. The Foster Care Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of four Caseworkers in the new model.


• Provide clinical and concrete individual and group supervision to 4 Caseworkers who will carry 10 – 12 cases each
• Assist Caseworkers in developing and monitoring service plans to achieve safe and timely permanency outcomes
• Assist and support Caseworkers with writing family court reports and preparing for court hearings. Ensure that court orders and directives are implemented
• Review and approve all FASPs, progress notes, Court Reports, correspondence and other documentation for quality and timely submission
• Participate in program development and quality improvement activities
• Complete other duties as assigned


• Masters of Social Work or equivalent human services graduate degree
• At least 2 years of documented supervisory and relevant experience in child welfare
• Knowledge of child development, individual and family psychodynamics, and family systems
• Ability to help caseworkers engage involuntary clients who are struggling with substance abuse, mental illness, domestic violence etc.
• An understanding and respect for community needs and cultures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willing to accommodate a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Willing to make field visits
• Fluency in Spanish a plus
