In NGC’s Employment Program, young people learn to work while working. Participants move through a series of supported job readiness training and internship experiences. As they progress through phases of the program, they receive in-depth training, work experience, and personal and career coaching while acquiring hard and soft skills.
Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America
CADCA is a national drug abuse prevention organization representing more than 5,000 community anti-drug coalitions in the country. Providing training and technical assistance, CADCA advocates for community coalitions in Congress and provides networking and educational opportunities through conferences and events. www.cadca.org
Community Partnerships, or coalitions engage multiple systems in their prevention efforts and are able to bring about community level change and policies through the use of environmental prevention strategies. More than any other entity, community partnerhips are poised to connect local stakeholders, collaboratively. Partners gain a more complete understanding of the communities, their programs and the processes used to identify problems and implement evidence-based solutions.
