The Children's Aid Society works on both the local and national levels to implement the community schools strategy. Children's Aid operates the National Center for Community Schools (NCCS), which assists educators, community leaders, funders and policymakers in adapting the Children's Aid model nationally and internationally.

NEW YORK, December 16, 2010 – Today, the Board of Trustees of The Children’s Aid Society voted unanimously to pursue the sale of the three properties that comprise the Philip Coltoff Center on Sullivan Street in Greenwich Village.

New York State Governor-Elect Andrew Cuomo recently issued a blueprint for urban education reform in New York State.  This 100+ page document cites Community Schools as an exemplary model for school reform and family support and further highlights The Children’s Aid Society’s Community Schools in New York City as a “high-performing” example of this strategy in action.
