New York, NY – As part of Regal Entertainment Group’s Summer Movie Express, Regal is treating The Children’s Aid Society’s Dunlevy Milbank and Frederick Douglass Boys & Girls Clubsyouth to enjoy blockbuster hits and beat the heat this summer. Through a partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Regal Entertainment Group is providing the Clubs with a grant to help cover expenses like transportation, snacks and low-cost tickets for its members.

New York, NY – Hundreds of children, parents and providers filled City Hall Park today with a message to Mayor Bloomberg: don’t cut child care and after-school programs for 47,000 children. In a show of support, three City Council Caucuses – the Black, Latino, and Asian Caucus; the Women’s Caucus; and the Progressive Caucus – released statements urging the Mayor to fully fund child care and after-school programs in his Executive Budget.

On Monday, March 5th at 1pm on the steps of City Hall, parents, advocates, & elected officials will launch a citywide campaign against the Mayor’s proposed massive cuts to child care and after-school programs.  Children’s Aid is a leader in this campaign, made up of the Emergency Coalition to Save Child Care and the NYC Youth Alliance.
