The Children's Aid community school partnership links C.S. 61/I.S.190 with our Bronx Family Center, which provides comprehensive services to serve the entire community.

Mirabal Sisters Campus

The Mirabal Sisters Campus opened as I.S. 90 in collaboration with The Children’s Aid Society in October, 1994.

The Children’s Aid Society launched its partnership with P.S. 152 in 1998. The school benefits from our demonstrated commitment to the community and the strengths of our other community school partnerships in Washington Heights, including P.S. 5, I.S. 218, P.S. 8 and I.S. 90.

The Ellen Lurie School, which opened in 1993, is a Children’s Aid Society community school that supports learning and achievement for the entire family.

In partnership with Mount Sinai Children’s Community Health (MSCCH) and the New York City Department of Education, The Children’s Aid Society established a community school at P.S. 50 in 2000.

The Luis Belliard School opened in 1995 and the school’s collaboration with The Children’s Aid Society began in 1996.

In 1992, The Children’s Aid Society joined in an unprecedented partnership with the New York City Board of Education, Community School District Six and other community-based partners to open the Salomé Ureña Middle Academies (SUMA).
